There’s a great mini-festival of Minimalism with the Labeque Sisters at Kings Place at the end of November, who are some of the most incredible musicians I’ve worked with. I remember a Carnival of the Animals at Salisbury Festival some years ago when right up to the moment we went on to perform they were together backstage, relentlessly practising the hard bits…honing, polishing. They are perfectionists, and stunning in concert. There’s a cool video at the bottom of this page about the Kings Place concerts that celebrate 50 years since La Monte Young’s famous NYC happenings.
